Are you TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK?

The rodeo world was asked this question in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer. The response was overwhelming. Wrangler™ took over the reins of this initiative and designed a special edition, "Tough Enough To Wear Pink (TETWP) shirt for men and women which was unveiled on October 1, 2006 to coincide with the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A redesigned Wrangler ™ rope emblem signifies the parallels between the cowboys who won the west and brave men and women who are determined to win the battle against breast cancer.
The idea of tough cowboys wearing pink might sound funny but the contrast makes the Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign special. Pink will symbolize courage, strength and determination when Pro-Rodeo, along with the western industry, comes together to fight breast cancer. It is the goal of the PRCA and it's national sponsors to help raise ONE MILLION DOLLARS in the fight against breast cancer and support the universal cause.
In 2008, over two hundred Pro-Rodeos have joined this campaign to support the national effort in the fight against breast cancer. The Bennington PRCA Rodeo has designated SATURDAY NIGHT AS OUR PINK NIGHT and have asked all of our rodeo contestants, personnel, and spectators to wear pink in recognition of this program.
